Job Summary:

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and systems, ensuring they meet specified tolerances and operational requirements.
 
  • Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies
  •  Align, fit, and join parts using fixtures, tools, and power tools
  •  Perform soldering, welding, and other fabrication tasks
  •  Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
  •  Use measuring tools and laser alignment tools
  • Install and remove bearing seals
  •  Inspect completed assemblies and conduct functional tests

Competencies:
  •  Problem-solving and attention to detail
  •  Knowledge of hand and power tools
  •  Understanding of welding processes and blueprint reading
  •  Ability to read orders and follow safety procedures

Physical Demands:
  •  Frequent standing, walking, and lifting
  • Occasional sitting, climbing, and balancing
  •  Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 25 to 50 pounds regularly

Requirements:
  •  High school diploma or GED
  •  One year of related experience and/or training
  •  Crane experience preferred
  •  Ability to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
