Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Welder II/Fabricator to join our team at G.W. Becker, Inc. (GWBI). The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating raw materials and components to create assemblies and crane parts.

Key Responsibilities:

* Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols

* Weld metal components in various positions

* Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies

* Finish surfaces of material products and re-touch welds

* Examine finished work pieces for quality and defects

* Operate hand and power tools, including welding equipment

* Handle materials using forklifts and overhead cranes

* Maintain a clean and safe work area

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent

* 2-5 years of related experience or training

* 3G and 4G FCAW welding certificate

* Valid driver's license and safe driving record

* Prior overhead crane experience preferred

* Strong understanding of welding equipment and accessories

* Flux Core Experience

* Automated Sub Arc Welding

Physical Demands:

* Frequently stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel

* Occasionally sit, climb, or balance

* Lift and move up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds regularly, and 25 pounds frequently
