Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our Production Department. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. If you have experience in CNC machining, programming, and machining principles, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

* Set up and operate machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments

* Modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines

* Apply knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures

* Experience machining rope drums preferred

* Understand fitment between multiple machined components

* Understand and maintain proper clearances and interfaces

* Assemble machined components using bearing heaters, electric ovens, freezers, and presses

* Perform machining operations on manual or CNC machine tools

* Set up and operate CNC machines proficiently

* Troubleshoot machine tool/tooling problems and take corrective actions

Requirements:

* CNC machining experience in a manufacturing setting

* Experience with CNC programming (G-Code) is a plus

* Strong understanding of machining principles, materials, and cutting tools

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
